Join us for a Sewing Marathon!
Date: Saturday, April13th from 12 PM to 6 PM& Sunday, April14th from 10 AM to 4 PM
Whether you’re young or old, experienced, a beginner, or completely new to sewing, it doesn’t matter – as long as you have a desire to sew alongside others. Whether you want to complete a full marathon, a half marathon, or just drop by for an hour or two – it’s entirely up to you. Whether you want to sew a dress from a duvet cover, repair clothes, embroider a pillow, or create a piece of art – there’s room for it all. If you prefer to work on another craft, you’re welcome to do so as well.
The event will take place at SYMB’s premises atBanegårdspladsen 2, 4400 Kalundborg.Participation is free, and no registration is required. Please note that we do not offer clothing repairs or alterations, but we can provide assistance and inspiration on how to do it yourself.
We provide:
– Access to three older sewing machines + one overlocker. Feel free to bring your own machines.
– Various fabric scraps for free use. However, you’re welcome to bring your own fabric. If you have fabric or sewing accessories you’d like to donate to SYMB, we’d be happy to accept them. We are especially in need of thread.
– A selection of older sewing patterns/magazines for free use.
– Embroidery thread, canvas, and patterns for those interested in embroidering a small picture.
– Cake, coffee, tea, beer, wine, and water available for purchase.Feel free to bring your own packed lunch.
